This is about charging stations are open to the public. They can be used by anyone with the proper means.
Fast
Fast charging stations are already provided with a tethered cable so you don’t need to bring your own. They charge fast but are generally expensive to use. Exceptions are the ones at Lidl stores which are free to use.
Type 2 cable
It is a good idea to always have a type 2 cable with you. Most public stations require you to bring one and plug both ends into the car and the charging station.
The longer the cable, the more useful when trying to connect to a charging station. Of course a longer cable takes up more space.
